The Globe Rider Story
The story begins in 1996 when Mat Pendle, during one of his reporting trips around the world for Globerider Windsurfing Video Cassettes, films some of the first hours of kiteboarding. His meeting in 1997 with Bruno Legaignoux during the Glissexpo show in Biarritz results in a total collaboration with the Wipika company, then the only kite board company in existence and just 3 months old with fifty kites sold. Based in the South of France, Globerider becomes the first base specialised in R&D, Promotion and Marketing for, what later is to become, the kite boarding industry. |
